Description
The 
Deactivate Attachment disables current attachment of an object. The Map Mode property of an object is set to Deactivated, other attachment properties remain untouched.
This is useful when the attachment is not needed temporary. Deactivated Map Mode enables precise object movement e.g. with TransformManip tool. After placement correction the AttachInPlace tool can be used to apply corrected Attachment Offset property.
Usage
- Select one or more objects in the 3D View or Tree View holding the CTRL key.
- Deactivate Attachment of all selected objects by one of these methods:
- Press the
DeactivateAttachment button. - Select the Cable Support → Deactivate Attachment option from the menu.
- Right-click in the Tree View or the 3D View and select the Cable Support → Deactivate Attachment option from the context menu.
- Use the keyboard shortcut: X then D.
- Press the
Notes
Selection of elements in 3D View is treated as a selection of entire objects.
