Introduction
Templater is an external workbench and does not belong to the standard FreeCAD installation. Its aim is to supply tools to easily create TechDraw templates in a desired format, and other tools related to drafting.
Installation
This workbench can be installed with the Addon Manager. For manual installation see Installing more workbenches and download a zip package from: here.
Tools
Templater AuxView: Adds an auxiliary view to the active drawing page based on two vertices selected in an existing view.
Templater ToleranceFrame: Adds a tolerance frame or a datum frame to the selected view.
Templater NewTemplateMulti: Creates a template and inserts it as a new drawing page into the active document. This tool allows to create a template in many different formats and with several optional elements like a frame, a titelblock, a bill of material, etc.
Templater NewTemplateWiki: Creates a small example template and inserts it as a new drawing page into the active document. See the TechDraw TemplateGenerator tutorial to learn how an almost identical template is scripted.
