Optionally change the working plane.
Make sure snapping is enabled. See Draft Snap Lock.
If Draft Snap Dimensions is not active do one of the following:
- Press the Snap Dimensions button in the Draft Snap toolbar.
- Draft: Press the Snap Dimensions button in the Draft Snap Widget.
- BIM: Select the Snapping → Snap Dimensions option from the menu, or from the 3D View context menu.
Choose a Draft or BIM command to create your geometry.
Note that you can also change snap options while a command is active.
Pick a first point. This snap option requires a previous point.
As you move the cursor around temporary dimensions are displayed.

Drafting: Line, Polyline, Fillet, Arc, Arc From 3 Points, Circle, Ellipse, Rectangle, Polygon, B-Spline, Cubic Bézier Curve, Bézier Curve, Point, Facebinder, ShapeString, Hatch
Annotation: Text, Dimension, Label, Annotation Styles, Annotation Scale
Modification: Move, Rotate, Scale, Mirror, Offset, Trimex, Stretch, Clone, Array, Polar Array, Circular Array, Path Array, Path Link Array, Point Array, Point Link Array, Edit, Highlight Subelements, Join, Split, Upgrade, Downgrade, Convert Wire/B-Spline, Draft to Sketch, Set Slope, Flip Dimension, Shape 2D View
