Description
The
Sketcher Grid tool toggles the grid in the sketch currently being edited. Settings can be changed in the related menu.
Usage
See also: Sketcher Preferences.
- Press the
Toggle Grid button to toggle the grid. The grid can also be toggled by changing the ViewShow Grid property of the sketch.
- Optionally click on the down arrow to the right of the button to open the menu:
- The Display grid checkbox also toggles the grid. introduced in 1.1
- If the Grid auto-spacing checkbox is checked, grid spacing is automatically adapted based on the view dimensions. Stored in the ViewGrid Auto property of the sketch.
- The Snap to grid checkbox toggles grid snap in all sketches. If checked, the cursor will snap to grid lines and grid intersections. Snapping occurs if the distance of the cursor to a grid line is 20% of the grid spacing or less. Snapping also works if the grid is invisible. Note that grid snap is just a drawing aid, it does not produce additional constraints. introduced in 1.1
- Spacing specifies the distance between two subsequent grid lines. Used as a base value if Grid auto-pacing is enabled. Stored in the ViewGrid Size property of the sketch.
