Description

Inserts a primitive box in the active Body as the first feature, or fuses it to the existing feature(s).

Usage

  1. There are several ways to invoke the tool:
    • Press the Additive Box button. Note: the Additive Box is part of an icon menu labelled Additive Primitive. After launching FreeCAD, the Additive Box is the one displayed in the toolbar. If a different primitive is displayed, click on the down arrow besides the icon and select Additive Box in the menu.
    • Select the Part Design → Additive Primitive → Additive Box option from the menu.
  2. The task panel opens.
  3. Set the parameters. introduced in 1.2: If the Show interactive draggers when editing features preference is selected (default), parameters can be adjusted with interactive gizmos in the 3D View.
  4. Optionally set the Attachment.
  5. Click OK.
  6. A Box feature appears under the active Body.
