Description
The
PartDesign CircularPattern tool duplicates selected features or the active body in concentric circular patterns. This tool allows to disable individual pattern elements.
Existing rectangular base feature with CP-shaped additive feature → "Circular Pattern" preview mode with deactivated lowermost elements (red x symbols deactivate elements, green + symbols reactivate elements) → Resulting solid (CircularPattern feature)
Usage
- Optionally activate the correct Body.
- Optionally select one or more features in the Tree View or the 3D View.
- There are several ways to invoke the tool:
- Press the
Circular Pattern button.
- Select the Part Design → Transformation Features →
Circular Pattern option from the menu.
- If there is no active Body, and there are two or more Bodies in the document, the Active Body Required dialog will open and prompt you to activate one. If there is a single Body it will be activated automatically.
- The Circular Pattern Parameters task panel opens. See Options for more information.
- Press the OK button to finish.

Properties
Data
Base
- DataOriginals (
LinkList): A list of selected features. Will be ignored, if the DataTransform Mode property is set to Whole shape.
- DataTransform Mode (
Enumeration):
Features (default)
Whole shape.
CircularPattern
- DataAxis (
LinkSub): The axis and center of the circular pattern..
- DataRadial Distance (
Length): Default is 50.0 mm. Distance between consecutive concentric circles.
- DataTangential Distance (
Length): Default is 25.0 mm. Approximate distance between consecutive elements on the same circle.
- DataNumber Circles (
IntegerConstraint): Default is 3. Number of concentric circles, including the original element.
- DataSymmetry (
IntegerConstraint): Default is 1. Number of symmetry divisions used to round each circle's element count.
Part Design
- DataRefine (
Bool): Default is True. Refine shape (clean up redundant edges) after operations.
- DataFuzzy Tolerance (
FloatConstraint): Default is -1.0. Fuzzy tolerance:
- If value > 0: use the value
- If value = 0: leave default value
- If value < 0: determine value
Transformation
- DataSuppressed Indices (
IntegerList): Indices of pattern instances that are suppressed.
