Description
The BIM Rewire tool takes selected objects and attempts to connect their edges into continuous wires. This is useful when you have fragmented line work that should form connected polylines, for example after importing geometry from other applications or after splitting operations.
Usage
- Select two or more objects that contain only straight edges (lines, wires, or shapes with edges).
- There are several ways to invoke the tool:
- Select the Utils →
Rewire option from the menu. - Use the keyboard shortcut: R then W.
- Select the Utils →
- One or more Draft Wire objects are created from connected edge sequences. The original objects are deleted.
Notes
- The tool cannot create closed wires.
