Description
Creates a stress linearization plot.
To learn more about stress linearization plots, you can read this description.
A stress linearization plot.
Usage
- Select a previously created Line clip filter with one of the following stress quantities plotted:
- Von Mises,
- Tresca,
- Major principal,
- Intermediate principal,
- Minor principal,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress xx component,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress xy component,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress xz component,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress yy component,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress yz component,
- introduced in 1.0: Stress zz component.
- There are several ways to invoke the command:
- An XY plot with linearized stress values (membrane, membrane+bending and total) along the line will be created in a separate window. The stress quantity plotted in the Line clip filter will be used for linearized stresses computation.
Notes
- The results of this tool should be interpreted carefully because the usual stress linearization procedure is not performed on equivalent stresses (such as von Mises and Tresca) and uses local instead of global coordinates.
FEM
- Solve: Solver CalculiX, Solver Elmer, Solver Mystran, Solver Z88; Mechanical Equations: Elasticity Equation, Deformation Equation; Electromagnetic Equations: Electrostatic Equation, Electricforce Equation, Magnetodynamic Equation, Magnetodynamic 2D Equation, Static Current Equation; Flow Equation, Flux Equation, Heat Equation, Solver Job Control, Run Solver
- Results: Purge Results, Show Result, Apply Changes to Pipeline, Post Pipeline From Result, Pipeline Branch, Warp Filter, Scalar Clip Filter, Function Cut Filter, Region Clip Filter, Contours Filter, Glyph Filter, Line Clip Filter, Stress Linearization Plot, Data at Point Clip Filter, Calculator Filter; Filter Functions: Plane, Sphere, Cylinder, Box; Data Visualizations: Create Lineplot, Create Histogram, Create Table
