概要

The Sketcher CreateArcOfHyperbola tool creates a hyperbolic arc.

Dim-OVP = Dimensional On-View-Parameters.

  1. There are several ways to invoke the tool:
    • Press the Hyperbolic Arc button.
    • Select the Sketch → Geometries → Hyperbolic Arc option from the menu.
    • Use the keyboard shortcut: G then H.
  2. The cursor changes to a cross with the tool icon.
  3. Pick the center of the major radius of the arc (labelled 1 in the image above). Or with Pos-OVP: enter its X- and/or Y-coordinate.
  4. Pick the vertex of the arc (labelled 2 in the image above), this also defines its major radius. Or with Dim-OVP: enter this radius and/or the angle of the axis of the arc. The angle is relative to the X-axis of the sketch.
  5. Pick the start point of the arc (labelled 3 or 4 in the image above), this also defines its minor radius. Or with Dim-OVP: enter this radius and/or the start parameter of the arc. The parameter is relative to the axis of the arc. No constraint is created for this parameter.
  6. Pick the endpoint of the arc (labelled 3 or 4 in the image above). Or with Dim-OVP: enter the end parameter of the arc. The parameter is relative to the start of the arc. No constraint is created for this parameter.
  7. The hyperbolic arc is created, including a set of internal geometry, and applicable Pos-OVP and Dim-OVP based constraints are added.
  8. If the tool runs in continue mode:
    1. Optionally keep creating arcs.
    2. To finish, right-click or press Esc, or start another geometry or constraint creation tool.
